Thomas Gibson Fine Art advises their clients on all aspects of the Auction process, pointing out the pro’s and cons which are often not known or even thought about. We advise on bidding at auction and often execute bids on behalf of our clients who wish to maintain anonymity, we advise on how much to bid on a work, based on our knowledge of the market and studying condition reports and comparable sales both at auction and privately. We also sell works at auction on behalf of our clients and negotiate directly with the auction rooms to get the best terms possible, in these situations our clients know that they are getting the best possible terms and all the administration that is involved with selling a work at auction is taken care of by us.
